Recovering and Growing at the hospital

Wednesday, August 29, 2007 - Jill left the hospital today, but Adam and Dylan are still there. It was hard to leave them, but they are there as they need to get stronger and feed and keep their temperature up. We don't yet know how long until they come home, but we hope it will be soon and appreciate everyones concern and well wishes.

August 25, 2007 - The big day finally arrived, as Jill had the twins in the morning on August 25th. Here are the details.

5 lb, 14 oz, 19.6 inches

Adam John Ziegenfuss
Born 8:33 AM, 8/25/2007
5 lb, 4 oz, 19 inches

Note - some have asked about the tube and tape on there faces - this is nothing to worry about. Being so young, they feed by this tube and so it just goes down their nose - but it is normal for this age and not a big deal.

Others have asked about the names and derivation of the names. Contrary to popular believe, Dylan is not named for a famous Minnesotan poet or Irish poet, and Adam is not named for a former US president. Their middle names are from both of the grandfathers.

34 weeks..

August 20, 2007 - We are over 34 weeks. Didn't get any pictures this time, but they are estimated to be over 5 lbs each at this point, which is a good sign. Should be all going down within the next couple of weeks.
